The Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk brings together runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to raise funds for local LGBTQ+ organizations and promote inclusivity in our community and sports. The annual event is proudly hosted by Palm Springs Front Runners & Walkers, a local chapter of International Frontrunners, an informal network of LGBTQ running groups around the world.
As the race organizer, we are proud to support the diverse LGBTQ+ community in Palm Springs by helping fund vital services through our donations. This is our club's major fundraiser and all net proceeds are donated to local charities. We really appreciate your support in making this event a success.
The Pride 5K Run and Walk is an Official Event of the Greater Palm Springs Pride 2025. Last year, our event had around 950 participants so register early.
In 2024, we raised over $40,000 that was distributed to four LGBTQ+ community organizations—The LGBTQ Center of the Desert, Transgender Health and Wellness Center, Safe Schools Desert Cities, and College of the Desert's Gender and Social Diversity Pride Center In addition, Pride Run fundraising efforts raised $5000 that was donated to eight smaller LGBTQ groups. Over the past nine years, our Palm Springs Pride 5K Run and Walk has generated over $240,000 for worthy community organizations.
We will announce this year's beneficiaries in July.
The Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk is part of a weekend of activities celebrating Greater Palm Springs Pride! For a full list of weekend events and activities go to pspride.org. A portion of your registration fee helps to keep Coachella Valley's longest running LGBTQ+ parade and festival in downtown Palm Springs, and keeps it FREE for all to attend through a donation to Greater Palm Springs Pride.
Palm Springs Front Runners & Walkers invite you for a 3.1 mile course that runs through the beautiful and historic Old Las Palmas and Vista Las Palmas neighborhoods. The 5K course starts on West Chino Drive and Belardo Road behind the Corridor Shops and winds through Old Las Palmas, a former citrus grove and once home to some of Hollywood's biggest stars. The beautiful, mostly flat, out-and-back course is on paved streets. There will be volunteers on the course to cheer you on and keep you moving in the right direction. Click to see the course map.
There is no registration on race morning, so please register in advance. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds.
Please note: You can make an additional donation to our beneficiaries during online registration.
